Christine Jansen

Christine Jansen, Costume Designer, has a diverse background in the visual arts, having worked in many different media including printmaking, glassblowing, and jewellery and metals. Although she has been sewing since she was a little girl, Christine has come to theatre and costume-making only recently through her children. Over the years, she channeled some of her creative energies into increasingly ridiculously elaborate costumes for their various activities. As they became more interested in theatre, it was an obvious creative outlet to get involved in the costume-making. Christine enjoys the challenge of creating costumes for amateur theatre. CASSA’s one-week time span certainly ups the ante for the challenge! When not over-achieving on costumes, Christine makes bones for training orthopedic surgeons.
